How to Wear French Cuffs Dress Shirts

Nearly all mens dress shirts are created in an old traditional cuff styles with buttons to secure each other. This design of cuffs has long been used and does not even give a bit of a new look. The rage keeps on evolving and mens shirts cuff too. The double-cuff dress shirts or usually referred as French cuff dress shirts, provide a modern class of fashion and style. Cuffing a double-cuff on either a custom dress shirts or geared up to wear dress shirts have its own way folding or cuffing. French cuffs are buttonless and requires a cufflinks closure.

Firstly, like how you put on any dress shirts, dress it on such as binding the front buttons and inserting the shirt’s tail inside the dresspants. Stretch one arm in front of you while the other hand unfolds the cuffs. Do this the same on the other hand.

Next, fold cuffs towards yourself wherein the hem in exposed on top. Attach the cuff to the dress shirts sleeve. Align neatly the hem with the stitches making the cuff folded in half. To make a crease fold, pich it with your fingers.

Third, remove the dress shirt off you and get a flat iron to set out the rumple. To achieve the crisp finish, you may spray a bottle of starch. Now, slip back on the shirt back, as soon as you have ironed both cuffs.

Fourth, target the top two fabric layer of the folded cuff over the top of the underside two layers of folded cuff. Then pop in one side of the cuff link on the top of the cufflink hole and pushing it through the hole. There are buttonholes, but you will not see any buttons opposite to it. The traditional design of cufflink has a large decorative tail or bind that feeds through the holes, and the other end is a bar, chain, knob or detachable cap. You’re done once you recap the procedure on the other cuff link of your arm.
